The Brooklyn Cafe in the south side is a real little Larg’s Nardini’s. Opened since 1931 it has the same authentic feel of an old-fashioned original ice cream parlour.
Tucked nicely on the corner of Minard Road, it is clean, classy and cosy. The interior has two levels and is covered in twinkling lights and candles which makes you feel really warm and comfortable.
Then menu is quite extensive and there is something for everyone whether it be a cup of tea, a bacon roll, a meal or a knickerbocker glory. It is nice and peaceful with no loud music so you can easily enjoy a conversation.
The staff are very polite, courteous and helpful. You could take anyone in there whatever the occasion and know you won’t be disappointed – breakfast, lunch, family dinner or even a romantic meal. They are very family friendly and children are welcomed.
Even bigger bonus is if you do eat a meal they don’t mind if you bring your own bottle and you really can not say fairer than that.
I have frequented here a few times I go for the food alone..
I find the manager to be extremly rude. On a few occasions ive saw him speak to the staff badly which is a shame because they make excellent food and give great service.
