This is a lovely restaurant situated in Glasgow City Centre, at Charing Cross. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy and friendly, yet it also manages to feel authentic. The staff are very attentive, warm and friendly, and highly organised (I can assure you, you will see what I mean).
There are a group of us who frequent this restaurant, simply because it has something for everyone. The menu is extensive, so no matter how fussy you are there will definitely be something in the menu you can have. The menu is available to view online at the Thai Fountain website.
It would take me all day to go through all the dishes I have tried, and it seems like no matter how many times I go there is always something different for me to order. Let me just say that the regional Thai curries are excellent; for the main part they are quite spicy, but there is a mild one there if you don’t like the spice. The food has been delectable every time I have been.
A main meal is approximately £11, but that doesn’t include and rice or sundries, so a two course meal would average at about £20 which isn’t too bad.
They also do a pre-theatre deal between 5-7pm Monday to Friday. You can dine A La Carte and you still get the choice of the full menu, but all main courses are half price. Not a bad deal…
