Kama Sutra is a beautiful and simply designed restaurant right in the centre of Glasgow, on the busy Sauchiehall St. The wooden tables and minimialist décor give the place a very romantic feel to it.

I have been many times and the service just seems to get better with every visit. I always feel very welcome and the staff are lovely – you almost feel part of the family! I have been as a couple, and as part of a much larger group and the staff are always helpful and friendly no matter how many of you there are.
I have had various dishes from the restaurant, all of which are lovely – everything I have tasted has been delicious. Dishes range from the traditional to the slightly more obscure, but no matter what you decide on you won’t be disappointed. The A La Carte menu is vast and is available online, so if you are indecisive I would recommend taking a look before you go!
They also have a few set menus for 2-5 people which are excellent value for money. A more recent addition to their menu is a healthy eating section for those of you who are watching their waistline (although it will be difficult not to try a bit of everything because the food looks and smells amazing).
There are a couple of other set menus:
Lunchtime ‘Quickie’ Buffet (£5.95): Mon-Sat, 12pm till 3.00pm
Sunday Brunch Buffet (£7.95): 12.00pm-4.00pm
Evening Buffet: (£14.95): Daily 6.00pm-9.30pm
Pre-Theatre 3-Course Menu (£9.95): Daily until 6.30pm daily
We had bought a Groupon voucher for a meal at Kama Sutra. £20 for £50 of food, which was a great deal. When making the booking, they asked if we had a voucher, which I thought was odd. When we arrived, the waiter who looked after us was extremely rude, we felt like they were unhappy to be serving the ones with vouchers. An assistant manager was walking around with a big smile on his face, which was the only comforting thing about the restaurant.
We were then explained all the things not included in the voucher with a very sour face. The food came and the poppadoms with various dips (which we paid extra for!) was very tasty. Although, unlike other Indian restaurants, we were given 1 poppadom each. Then the mixed starter for 2 came out and they were definitely a treat, very delicious. The mains were nice, I had 1 of the speciality dishes which came with rice and a sweet tasting potato side dish, which was overly sweet.
The meal was lovely, but still had a little kick. My partner had another dish described as mild and it certainly was not, as my tongue was burning after trying it. It was a different version of Bhoona and it was not enjoyable at all. The nan was tasty and there was no dessert included and when we asked if there was, the waiter looked at us as if we were silly and chuckled with a no response. The groupon voucher could have been a good way of introducing people to their restaurant, but they didn’t use it to their advantage, as we will not be returning.
When you first arrive the atmosphere is so relaxing and warm and everyone looks like there genuinley enjoying them self, with a personal greeting at the door and shown directly to your table – and or sitting in a comfortable couch until one has became avaliable, the waiter or waitress canot help you enough. With coats offered to be stored away in a private and safe place you can feel more relaxed and get more comfortable as you enjoy your meal. When the menu has been given you have the option to have complentary starter which is free to suprese your hunger for your main meal, once ordered you wait no longer than 30 minuites for all food an for all the party ( from starters to main) and you dont feel rushed either to finish your food or leave the premises, with myself i dont like desert so i cannot comment on that but the food overral is to die for and should truely deserve a award not only for food for service and hostess material aswell. and i just love this place
