The Fratelli Sarti Renfield St restaurant is the newest of the Sarti group. In Renfield Street you dine on marble tables, surrounded by wood panelling with five huge Murano glass chandeliers above your head, the kitchen and the aromas are the same as the other Sarti restaurants and the busily atmosphere is just as vibrant.
The aim for the brothers Sarti was always to bring together the quality and simplicity of their Cucina Toscana from the mountains of Garfagnana and the wonderful Mediterranean seafood from Versilia and Liguria. To this day they import all their Prosciutto di Parma, Virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, 24 month old Parmiggiano Reggiano and much more direct from Italy.

I celebrated my graduation in Fratelli Sarti on Renfield St last year, and since then I have made any excuse possible to go back and eat there again, as have most of my family. We were quite a large group, but the staff made every effort to make our dining experience as wonderful as possible. I have never felt so ‘looked after’ in a restaurant in my life. And every time I have been since I have felt the same way.
The focaccia all’aglio (garlic and rosemary focaccia) was a particular favourite with everyone. Even my young brother, who’s attempts to never eat anything green would outdo any carnivorous beast, devoured almost a whole focaccia to himself; rosemary and all. And he still went on to eat his full meal afterwards.
Sarti’s serves a wide range of pizza, pasta, seafood, salads and other Italian dishes. They also have a sizeable vegetarian selection. Every time I have been the food has been lovely. Only in Italy have I had a better Italian meal.
The wine list is extensive and the coffee is very enjoyable. They also have a deli counter.
So there we have it: flawless service, relaxed and inviting atmosphere, great for groups, reasonable prices and incredible food.
All in all, this is THE one to beat.
Everything about this restaurant is absolutely wonderful. My partner and I have been many times now, and have never had better service or Italian food anywhere else. We love it, and will no doubt be back many times in the future!
this is my favourite italian restaurant – not just in glasgow. am always looking for an excuse to go back again – cant wait until the next family/friends birthday to suggest it again!
Best restaurant in Glasgow.
Food, delicious!!!! They have a very good chef. Service, good but a little bit slow, but I could stay very happy despite that because the restaurant is beautiful and cosy, they have good atmosphere, very clean.
