i have dined at this restaurant for about 18-20 years since i was young going with my mother and sisters and now with my own family. we have even spent a few christmas,s there. there is a really relaxed and family orrientated atmosphere. we know the manager and some of the waiters by name so therefor always feel really comfortable when we visit.
the food is the best and i especiially reccomend the chicken satay, the chicken melts in your mouth and the sauce is just the right amount of nuttyness.
not to mention they have the best prawn crackers in the whole of glasgow.
service is always fast and efficiant and served with a smile.
The China Sea is a small restaurant that is just off the beaten track but easily accessible. The staff are friendly, courtious and make more of an effort than any waiter or waitress than any other restaurant I have ever dined in. There is an extensive range of food on offer and when combined with the pre theatre menu the China Sea offers choice for any budget at any time of the day. This restaurant is always busy but the staff never fail to cope and satisfy the customers. The fact that the decor hasn’t been touched in many years now, yet it is always busy, is testamant to the quality, value and excellent atmosphere that is on offer in one of Glasgows best kept secret chinese hideaways….. 10/10
I have been goin to china sea for years the food is always great the prices are very reasonable they always serve you with a smile if you like chinese you will love china sea
its a nice too eat in very tasty food very nice
Thought I’d turn away from the big restaurants . China sea is the best experiance you will ever have in any type of restaurant, the waitors and atmosphere is fantastic. I’d love to take my girlfriend to experiance the sheer speed of the food and service. Also see the chrismas lights gettin turned on! I recommend china sea to anyone who fancies a quick meal but also relaxing time!
I thought the food was fairly edible. My other friend who was with me enjoyed her cuisine very much. Im happy they made my Kung Po dish not too spicy, because what if I couldnt handle the spice. The atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant. I thought the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back.
