Mr Chung started the first ‘Amber’ Restaurant more than 20 years ago in Byres Road, and has since gained a strong reputation for undeniable quality and service. The restaurant is now established in a convenient City Centre location on West Regent Street, hence the name Amber Regent.
Specialising in Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine combining fresh Scottish produce with traditional Chinese ingredients, e.g. sliced venison in mandarin sauce, aromatic crispy lamb, stuffed duck with mashed prawn on oyster sauce.

The amber regent has been my favorite restaurant for many years, the food is to die for, i stumbled on the place one drunken night and have since been back many times, the staff are always friendly and courtious, although one did have a little chuckle to himself ova my wifes attempting to use the chop sticks before offering her a knife n fork. If u like chinnese you need to eat at the amber regent i havnt found anywere that comes close to them for authentic chinnese food.
Absolutely amazing food and fantastic service! The lunch menu is also great value. Best Chinese restaurant by far.
