Tickets:  £13-£27, or £15-£55 for weekend pass

The Davis Cup returns to Glasgow in July 2011, bringing top class Tennis and Scotland’s own Andy Murray back to Glasgow once again.

Current world number 4 Andy Murray has pledged his support for this Davis Cup match and will likely be joined by fellow Scot’s and double specialists Jamie Murray and Colin Fleming.  The final member of the team barring injury should be Britain’s number 2, James Ward.

Leon Smith, born in Glasgow is the current captain of the AEGON GB Davis Cup team, he is looking forward to making it three wins out three since he took over the GB team. On Braehead being chosen he said “I know we’ll get fantastic support, and I’m confident that a hard court surface will suit our players well as we look to take another step towards promotion.”

Tickets are priced at £27 for adults on the Friday and Sunday and just £13 for Saturday’s action. Every child goes free with a full paying adult; otherwise child’s tickets are priced at £13 for the Friday and Sunday and only £6 to catch the doubles match on the Saturday. The matches will be played during the summer holidays for Scottish schools, offering the perfect activity to keep the family entertained.

Andy Murray has said “It makes such a difference to have a sell out crowd behind you in these matches. I know the team will get great support and that’s what Davis Cup tennis is all about. I’m looking forward to the tie and helping the team.”
