Cliff is bringing his 75th Birthday Tour to Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall for one night only in October 2015!
Cliff Richard is a massively popular and enduring figure in pop, having had number one singles in every decade from the 1950s to 1990s. With his backing group The Shadows, Cliff dominated the British popular music scene in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, before and during The Beatles’ first year in the charts. A conversion to Christianity and subsequent softening of his music led to his having more of a pop than rock image.
He is the only singer to have had a number one single in the UK in five consecutive decades, doing so from the 1950’s through to the 1990’s. In the British charts, Cliff has had more than 130 singles, albums and EPs make the top 20, more than any other artist and over the decades has sold more than 250 million records.
A brilliant all-round performer, Cliff Richard is legendary for his unforgettable live shows that will feature some of his greatest hits including ‘Devil Woman’, ‘Living Doll’, ‘Miss You Nights’ and ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’.
His 75th Birthday Tour will see a run of 6 nights at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2015, and will be preceded by a 7 date stint around the rest of the UK, including just one night in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall. A not to be missed experience for any Cliff fan!
