Cliff Richard is indisputably Britain’s all-time greatest hit-maker – the ultimate pop star. He is back with his 80th Birthday Tour. Coming to Glasgow’s SEC Armadillo on 17th November 2023.

Sir Cliff Richard will celebrate his 65th Anniversary in the music industry, concerts in London, Blackpool and Glasgow in 2023. In 65 years, (his 60th Anniversary was 2018) Cliff has recorded almost 1,300 song titles (nearly 2,000, if the different versions are included). Composed 100 songs, achieved 14 No.1 singles (40 Top 5, 68 Top 10, and 96 Top 20). As well as 7 No.1 albums (28 Top 5, 44 Top 10, and 53 Top 20). Move It!, where it all started, is the most recorded song in Cliff’s back catalogue, numbering 23 different versions.

Cliff’s proudest accolade is that he holds the Official Chart Record for becoming the first artist ever to score a Top 5 album in eight consecutive Decades.

Highlights of this remarkable career are too numerous to mention. But successful films, musicals, concert tours and television shows have all contributed to the Cliff Richard legend.

Cliff’s Knighthood, bestowed in the 1995 Birthday Honours for his tireless charity work, was the first such to be given to a pop star. His practical support of so many good causes reflects the reality of his deep Christian commitment. It began in the mid-1960’s, and which, despite the media critics who claimed it was a passing fad or a publicity gimmick, has been the motivating force in his life ever since.

Cliff was honoured to be one of the celebrities to participate in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant in London on the bus representing the 1950’s.

Cliff’s Great 80 Tour to celebrate his 80th Birthday was postponed due to the Covid pandemic. It was able to go ahead a year later in 2021 playing to sell-out venues. It was also screened live to cinemas worldwide.  Cliff’s latest album Christmas with Cliff is released on 25th November 2022.
