Cirque du Soleil is pleased to announce that its signature production of Dralion, will be touring UK arenas in 2014 and will be visiting the Glasgow Hydro from the 8th to 11th of May. This is the first time that Dralion, which celebrates its 15th Anniversary in 2014, will have toured arenas in the UK.

Dralion is a wonderful blend of amazing acrobatics, stunning choreography, live music with hilarious clowns. It’s a feast of colour and emotions that will surely appeal to everyone in Glasgow.

Fusing the 3000 year-old tradition of Chinese acrobatic arts with the multidisciplinary approach of Cirque du Soleil, Dralion draws its inspiration from Eastern philosophy and its never-ending quest for harmony between humans and nature. The show’s name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon, symbolizing the East, and the lion, symbolizing the West.

From a group of 20 street performers at its beginnings in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is now a major organization providing high-quality artistic entertainment. Cirque now has more than 1,300 performing artists from close to 50 different countries. It has brought wonder and delight to more than 100 million spectators in more than 300 cities in over forty countries on six continents.
