If your an X-Factor fan then you may like to know that Cher Lloyd is coming to Glasgow … aaargh!

If your not an X-Factor devotee, then you may well have no idea who this 18 year old upstart is.  Cher Lloyd “singer and rapper” rose to fame in 2010 when she finished in fourth place in The X Factor, she was shorty afterwards signed by Simon Cowell to Sony Records subsidiary SyCo Music, releasing her debut single “Swagger Jagger” in June 2011.

The single entered at number one in the UK charts and number-two in the Irish charts.  Her second single, “With Ur Love”, was released on 31 October and her debut album Sticks + Stones shortly followed which includes collaborations with Busta Rhymes and Mike Posner.  So far receiving mixed reviews, but achieving ok sales.

Cher Lloyd will play 12 dates across the UK in March and April 2012.  The tour begins at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall on March 29 and runs until April 12, when Lloyd headlines Nottingham Rock City. She will play in Glasgow on April 2nd.
