Glasgow’s summer festivals are hugely varied; there’s everything from Shakespeare to samba, and piping to Pride. We’ve picked out a few of Glasgow’s best summer festivals. You don’t even need your wellies at most of them.
13th – 17th October 2009: As part of Glasgay! 2009, the Arches plays host to Martin O’ Connor’s sensitive take on this year’s theme – FAMILY. It’s the eviction night on Big Brother. All eyes are on the house. But something equally eventful is happening in another house…
20th – 24th October 2009: Best selling author Louise Welsh explores the age old pattern of women being trapped and contained by predatory men, taking in constriction, sexuality, power and obsession. Part of Glasgay! 2009
Sunday 28th June 2009: As part of the West End Festival, and in conjunction with the Glasgow Museum of Transport, Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust again offers you the opportunity to travel on vintage buses and coaches from the 1950’s to the 1970’s.
