Legendary R&B performers Boyz II Men will perform a small series of gigs in the UK in spring 2015, including one night in Glasgow’s O2 Academy!
Following the success of their tour back in 2012, and the popularity of the string of dates they performed in December 2014, Boyz II Men will return to the UK for a series of 7 gigs in May 2015.
Boyz II Men are an American R&B group from Philadelphia. Formed way back in 1988 by singers Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris, Michael McCary, and Marc Nelson, the band are recognised one of the most popular vocal groups of all time thanks to their irresistible harmonies and a capella solos.
With a string of No.1 hits in the 90s, including ‘End of the Road’, ‘I’ll Make Love To You’ and ‘On Bended Knee’, while going on to sell over 60 million albums worldwide, they are the most successful R&B vocal group ever.
Boyz II Men originally found fame as a quartet in the 90’s, but have been performing as a trio since health issues forced original band member McCary to leave the group in 2003, though they’re still best known as a quartet.
The remaining three original members Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman, who formed the group in high school, have gained a reputation for their faultless live performances across the globe.
The band are among a small group of artists who’ve managed more than 50 weeks at no. 1 on the Billboard 200, alongside icons like Elvis Presley, Mariah Carey, and The Beatles. Boyz II Men have become one of Motown Records’ biggest hits thanks to tracks like ‘End of the Road’, ‘On Bended Knee’, and ‘I’ll Make Love To You’.
Boyz II Men have charmed millions with their smooth vocal harmonies, legendary hits, and unmatched stage presence for over 20 years. Their continued success has even led to them being awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
Still recording, releasing, and performing to this day, Boyz II Men released their latest record ‘Collide’ in September 2014. The boys supported it with three UK gigs in December, and now they’re coming back to the UK for a string of gigs in May 2015.
