Kicking off in Plymouth on the 15th October, Bill is bringing ‘Limboland’ to Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium for two nights in October 2015.
Bill has announced he will tour his smash hit live show ‘Limboland’ across the UK this coming winter.
Following a sell out tour of the show in Australia and New Zealand, Bill took up a West End residency with the show last autumn.
Featuring Bill’s trademark musical interludes, observations and stories of the road, ‘Limboland’ is about a world that seldom matches our expectations. In this new show, Bill Bailey explores ‘the perception gap between how our lives really are and how we imagine them to be’ and tells tales of finding himself in this ‘halfway place’ called limboland.
In an interview last month, the comic said of Limboland: ‘I suppose it’s a bit about getting older. This transition from one stage in your life to another. It’s also about responding to global chaos, with a lot of countries in flux and with the old orders changing. And there’s also a personal element.’
He recalls a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights; contemplates the true meaning of happiness; gives his own unique and surreal version of the protest song – a heart rending country and western ballad played on a Bible; and a downbeat take on Happy Birthday.
