Scottish folk rockers Big Country will perform live at Glasgow’s King Tuts Wah Wah Hut on the 23rd of October 2015.

Big Country was originally formed in 1981 by founding members Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson both native of the band’s hometown Dunfermline in Scotland. The height of the band’s popularity and success was in the 80s,  they broke massively worldwide with the release of the album ‘The Crossing’ in 1983.

That album included the classic Big Country anthems  ‘Fields Of Fire’, ‘Chance’ and their signature song ‘In A Big Country’. The album went on to be a massive worldwide hit, selling over 2 million copies and driving ‘The Crossing’ to 3 prestigious Grammy nominations in the USA.

The band’s music is most recognisable for it’s their guitar driven sound infused with Scottish folk including bagpipes, fiddles and other traditional folk instruments.
