Biffy Clyro will be supported by The Futureheads
Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro are bringing their tour home for two nights in Glasgow’s SECC this November.
With a cult following since the mid nineties, Scottish band Biffy Clyro discovered a sound which appealed to a wider audience with their commercially successful 2007 album “Puzzle”. The album went gold in the UK, selling over 100,000 copies.
The Biff’s popularity was developed further in 2008 and 2009 with the release of the singles “Mountains” and “That Golden Rule”, which both reached the top 10 of the UK singles chart.
Their most recent album, “Only Revolutions”, reached number 3 in the UK chart and went gold within just a few days of its release in 2009, went platinum in 2010 and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
The band are known for using complex and interwoven guitar riffs, unusual time signatures and chord sequences and melodies that often change throughout songs. Their music can change from aggressive to absolutely beautiful in the blink of an eye, and their lyrics somehow manage to be mournful and elating at the same time, which somehow makes them more powerful…
And of course, they are also well known for their energetic live performances. Don’t miss your chance to see them live!
