BBC Proms in the Park at Glasgow Green

13th September 2008

Get your picnic packed and get ready to celebrate the Last Night of the Proms in true Scottish style (with some waterproofs just in case of course…)

Join the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra (BBCSSO) on the 13th of September, conducted by Robert Siegler, and the National Youth Choir of Scotland for this brilliant evening in Glasgow Green.  Along with an international line-up of stars (including the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the internationally reknowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie, and Maria Friedmann), the BBCSSO will be performing an uplifting and celebratory programme to end the Proms season in style, north of the border.

The concert will also be broadcast live on BBC Radio Scotland, and on BBC TV (via the red interactive button).

For more information you can visit the BBC website.

This event is now sold out.  I didn’t manage to get tickets yet, 🙁 but on the website it says there will be a limited number of tickets available from the box office on the night.  Fingers crossed…

    1. Hi William

Unfortunately we are unware of a Proms in the Park for 2023. But if this changes we will update the post. We think it would be a great concert to bring back.

  1. I went with my 17 year old grandson to the last night of the proms in Glasgow Green I wanted to introduce him to the classical world that I love so much. He was so delighted with the music, ambience and my company offcourse, then he said, next year I will buy the tickets and invite you, (he did not know the ticket were free).

Both of us thought it was fantastic and the good weather helped we have a pic nic and non alcoholic drinks, I was driving and he does not like alcohol.

I am looking forward to invite all the family to this year Proms.
    Muchas Gracias
    Isabella Forbellini
