The Italian athlete, Alex Bellini will take a new incredible challenge the LA – NY Footrace 2011: travelling through the United States starting from Los Angeles to New York, covering a total of 5,000 km. The race will take place from June 19 to August 27 and will cover a staggering total of 120 marathons in just 2 ½ months.
Alex will be joined by about 20 other competitors and the race will take them through the torrid heat of the Nevada desert and the coldest temperatures in New Mexico, to go down to the expanses of Oklahoma, past the Missouri with its rivers, the Mississippi and Illinois up Pennsylvania and eventually reaching the skyscrapers of New York.
Alex Bellini will be sponsored by JEEP. This is a test of endurance, physical and mental suspended between adventure, intimate and quiet solitude and sharing, in part with the other participants and partly with the support team that will follow him on board Jeep ® Wrangler Unlimited Sahara in the version equipped with the powerful 3.8 V6 petrol engine from 199 hp and four-speed automatic transmission.
