Guaranteed to appeal to those that like to eat good food, as well as those that like to cook, our ‘Taste of Science Dinner’ will be hosted by the hugely popular and influential chef John Torode.

Probably best known as the straight-talking co-presenter of BBC’s MasterChef, Australian John is passionate about all things culinary and will explore the fun of experimenting with food and putting together unusual flavours. Inspiration and guidance to take home to your own kitchen! The evening includes a champagne reception, presentation by John Torode and a superb 4-course meal designed in conjunction with John himself.

John Torode who will explore the fun of food experimentation and how ingredients can work together to create new wonderful flavours, giving you tips to take home to your own table and a taste of things to come in the sumptuous four course dinner to follow.

You’ll then be served an imaginative and exploratory dinner –

  • Experience the gorgeous taste explosion of blood orange and salt flake cured salmon, crayfish and white vinegar jelly with pea shoot, broad bean and fennel salad.
  • Freshen your palate and sharpen your appetite with a sorbet of watermelon, cassis and star anise, surrounded with a wafer of cinder toffee with mandarin and vanilla.
  • Take your time over a roast rump of Scottish lamb, served with superb accompaniments, a silky red onion, anchovy and rosemary sauce and enriched with black truffle.
  • Savour a dessert combining the richness of chocolate ganache with the lightness of a lavender and vodka jelly and the fresh zing of raspberry and basil ice-cream!

Come on your own or as a couple, or make a night of it and take a table with friends.  A single ticket is £60, couples tickets are £100, which provides two places, or a table of 10 is £450. Places are limited so ensure yours now.
