Family Ceilidh in George Square

Sunday 30th November 2008, 4pm – 7pm

This year, on St Andrew’s Day, George Square will be transformed into your very own dancefloor for a night of traditional Scottish music and dancing in celebration of Scotland’s patron saint.

The family ceilidh is part of the St Andrew’s weekend ‘Shindig’ celebrations, and is set to be an unmissable Scottish dancing experience.  Don’t worry if you don’t know the moves.  Whether it’s the Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant or Strip the Willow, there will be expert Callers to guide you through the dances.

Tickets are free, so grab your kids and your partner and come along and dance the night away with some of Scotland’s best live ceilidh bands.  You are absolutely guaranteed to have a great time!

Shindig is presented in association with the Scottish Government.
